FRSC removes Rivers sector commander, others who cut female officials’ hair FeaturedWritten by LEDUM PRINCE
The Federal Road Safety Commission’s Corps Marshal, Boboye Oyeyemi, has reportedly ordered the recall of the Rivers State Sector Commander, Andrew A. Kumapayi. Also reportedly affected by the order were other officers of the Sector Command who were said to have joined Kumapayi on Monday when he reportedly ordered that hairs of some female officers be shaved.
The female officers were allegedly carrying long hair in the Rivers State Sector Command, Port Harcourt.
Though it was reported that FRSC Rule forbids its female officers from carrying long and decorated hair, the action of the Sector Commander caused outrage Monday when it began to tend on social media.
Kumapayi was seen in the released photos chopping off the hairs of the unidentified female officers with a pair of scissors.
However, none of the photos showed Kumapayi cutting the affected officers’ hairs.
FRSC said their recall was to allow for an investigation into the matter.
